Discover your creative power and take the opportunity to celebrate your pregnancy and birth as the profound rite of passage that it is.  As a certified Birthing From Within mentor, I provide ongoing childbirth preparation and self-discovery workshops serving the greater Sacramento area.  Birthing From Within classes are non-traditional, multi-sensory workshops that help women and their partners build a pain-coping mindset and celebrate birth as a passage into parenthood. Each childbirth preparation series is tailored to the needs of participants, and designed to help women and their partners to birth in awareness, not to achieve a specific birth outcome.  Fathers and birth partners are included as integral to the process of birth, and are supported in their own passage into parenthood.  My services include workshops designed for women in the postpartum period as well. 

As a licensed therapist specializing in a holistic approach to wellness that integrates mind, body and spirit, I am also available to meet your needs for counseling services.  If  you encounter unwished for surprises or confusing feelings before or after the birth of your baby, I can help.   Some of the things I can be helpful with are:  traumatic feelings about a previous difficult birth, history of sexual abuse interfering with your ability to enjoy pregnancy or prepare for labor, postpartum depression, infertility, or losing a baby.  I have over 12 years of experience providing counseling and psychotherapy to women and their families.
