Ruth Lundsten Doula Service

 

I am married and have two children.  I welcomed the arrival of my first grandchild in August of 2009.  I have attended birth doula training through Childbirth Education Specialists, and I am currently working toward certification through DONA International.

 

Birth is a key experience that a woman will remember and reflect back on throughout her life.  I am passionate about helping women preserve that memory.  My role as a doula is to assist you and your partner in achieving the birth you want and to support your goals and wishes.  I will help you feel informed, respected, supported and nurtured throughout your labor and delivery.  I will aid in gathering the information you and your partner need to make informed decisions.  I will provide emotional support and physical comfort measures during labor.  I will help you foster self-determination and confidence in yourself, and I will assist you in capturing the miracle and the empowerment of the birthing process.  I love all things birth, and I look forward to sharing in the miracle of your birth with you and hope it will be one that you will cherish for a lifetime.
